Bertronian Hieratic or Ten Kalana (Language of the Holy) is a conlang under construction by Bret Norwood. It largely makes use of Indo-European roots with a few Semitic influences. It also has its own writing system derived from Proto-Semitic glyphs, but is also readily Romanized.
Design Principles
The Ten Kalana is meant above all to be aesthetically pleasing both phonetically and in the manner it would form the thoughts in the head of a native speaker.
Language Sources
Proto-Indo-European reconstructed lexicon, Spanish, Latin, English, Greek, Hebrew, Ancient Egyptian.
