From Langmaker
1. Tellw ban Ammar harnan lan min ar im beth minen.
1. Now all of the Earth had one language and the same words.
2. A na bad hin ol Adhrun, i edhien hilian dorth lannen nar had Sinar, a deldorn mirith.
2. And in their travels from the East, the people found a flat land in the region of Shinar, and there they dwelt.
3. A gwedith amring, “Ae dolw, carathad in dagas ar aestathad hain gwen”. Ar harnyth dagas gwar ond, a nabar gwa grid.
3. And they said to each other, "Come, let us make bricks and bake them well." And they had bricks for stone, and tar for mortar.
4. Tellun gwedith, “Ae dolw, tagathad ammen doroth ar argent go gelf mir elenath, ar ae garadh ammen enw, man vin u-duithatha tri van Ammar."
4. Then they said, "Come let us build for ourselves a city and a tower with its top among the stars, and let us make a name for ourselves, so we will not be scattered over all the Earth."
5. Ar Eadar lendan dad man cennw il doroth ar i argent ith in hen firiel lain tagan.
5. And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower that the mortal children had built.
6. Ar Eadar gwedan, “Cennen, sel edhien min, a harneth lan min, a delnad tyllui imlana i garathas. A dellw i velrathas ur-darathag.
6. And the Lord said, "I see, they are one people, and they have one language, and this only begins what they will do. And now nothing they dare [to do] will be stopped.
7. Ae dolw, lendathon dad a duithath lan hin, man ur-istiathas amring.”
7. Come, I will go down and scatter their language, so they will not understand each other."
8. Eadar tuithan hain ol teldorn tri van Ammar, ar daryth tagw il doroth.
8. The Lord scattered them from there across all of the Earth, and they stopped building the city.
9. Tellui hon enwiannen Babyl, ollui ol teldor Eadar tuithan in lan ban Ammar. Ar ol teldor Eadar hain tuithan tri van Ammar.
9. Therefore it is called Babel, for from there the Lord scattered the languages of all of the Earth. And from there the Lord scattered them across all of the Earth.
