Design principles
Basic word order is VSO. Adjectives follow the noun modified and agree in case and number; adverbs follow verbs and are conjugated likewise. Prepositions actually function as postpositions. A basic word root such as jul ("hot") can be any part of speech. For example, conjugate it in the first person singular past and you have juli ("I was hot") with no copulative needed.
