Design principles
Darynese was my first real language attempt, so I did end up making it OVS... it didn't occur to me that there might be a reason why most languages have the subject proceed the object. I wanted to construct a language that was very precise for interpersonal relationships -- this is important to the conculture that goes with the language, so it makes sense they would develop a lot of words for it (sort of inverse Saper-Whorf!).
