Dren, a logical language, was designed by Thomas McInturf.
Language sources
To make sure I could not be accused of plagiarism, I tried only to create a language I thought would be concurrent with the civilization I'm writing, and useful. I began creating the language four (or five) years ago, and at the time, I had absolutely no examples to go from.
Design principles
Modular. Root words never change, letter sounds do not change (with the exception of 'e' and 'i' when placed at the ends of words--done so to make hearing the end of a word easier in a flowing sentence). Sentence structure: Subject-Object-Verb. Few words are longer than 5 letters. In a nutshell: it makes the ordinary stuff easy to learn, so that the higher things can be learned faster. The language has over 1,600 words; however, I'm currently working to get it all in the computer.
Interest of others
Actually, yes; but until now, I have not really tried to get an Internet following. I have a large group of friends I speak the language around.
