Language sources
Some roots are from Germanic, Romance, Slavic languages, Finnish, Malaysian, etc.; most are a priori.

Design principles
I wanted the grammar and phonology to be as exotic as possible while still being relatively easy to learn. I have acquired considerable fluency in writing, reading, and thinking in it, but am much less fluent in the spoken form.
