Language Sources
Grekkan is not based on any natural languages, but is an a priori language.

Design Principles
Grekkan uses the VOS sentence structure. Each phoneme has a distinct meaning, and so what sounds like a short word can in fact be a complex sentence.

Fictional Setting
I created the Grekkan language to accompany a fictional alien race on the planet Grek. The word Grekkan is a human word for the race and their language. In their own language, they call themselves "all souls", their planet "our sky", and their language "all our words".
