Uniqueness
Kebreni is the language of Kebri, which is near Verduria on the planet of Almea. Kebreni's ancestor language Methaiun is worked out as well, and Kebreni derives from it in a historically plausible way.
Its grammar is designed to differ from that of English in nearly every way possible. I particularly like the verbal system, which depends on categories like aspect, politeness, desire, and volitional impact, and not at all on person, number, or tense; and which for its conjugation depends on metathesis and vowel change rather than inflection. Its subordinating particle is also rather interesting, as is the way it uses verbs in place of prepositions.
Language sources
For the grammar, just about any language I know that isn't English. :) Lexically, I borrowed a few words from Japanese, but mostly its lexicon is invented.
Interest of others
Presumably, for its non-English grammar, or for its role in fleshing out the texture of Almea.
