Language sources
The Kir language was not based upon any other language.

Design principles
Kir was designed in the same fantasy world as PsharAdi (Modern Tsaran). It was originally meant to be the tongue of the Kir people; a humanoid, forest-dwelling race which had been driven into a desert environment by human and Tsaran encroachment.
The Kir language is agglutinative in structure.
