Kokipopi was written by Eric McGill as a parody of IAL proposals that strive for "simplicity". It has four phonemes: /k/, /p/, /o/, and /i/. When used, it is incredibly ambiguous, not to mention repetitive.
It has been used for a translation of the Babel Text; see Kokipopi Babel Text for more information.

Language sources
Phonologically, it draws on Hawaiian. It also pokes fun at auxlangs that aim for simplicity in one area at the expense of other aspects of the language.

Design principles
Phonological simplicity.

Interest of others
It was posted to alt.language.artificial (sans Babel Text), where it drew a little bit of praise.
