Litaja is a fictional conlang created by Samnr Richter.

Fictional History

The language Litaja is meant to be spoken by a race of beings in a series of stories called the Xlel-soen. It is not known whether these stories exist.

Primer

The language uses 44 letters written in a unique script. It is not known whether that unique script actually exists. However, there are normal English equivalents of those letters that can be used for spelling words in this language.

The basic sentence structure of this language is S-O-V (Subject-Object-Verb). Adjectives follow nouns, not precede them like in English (ex. dogs black instead of black dogs). Nouns are gender-neutral & have no suffix or prefix means of making them gender-specific. Gender-specific nouns are completely different words.

When posing a simple question, the sentence structure changes to V-S-O (Verb-Subject-Object).

The following types of words have these endings:

  • Nouns (Animals) : -L
  • Numbers : -H
  • Verbs (Past Tense) : -K
  • Adjectives : -NEM or -M
  • Adverbs : -TEO or -O

Besides example sentences, no known writings in this language currently exists. The main website features an extensive vocabulary list.
