Old Skourene is a fictional diachronic language created by Mark Rosenfelder. It is written with a unique script, a mixture of logography and syllabary. Its verbal system is dependent on changing vowels within a constant triliteral root. The lexicon is highly verb-based; many common nouns are derived from verbs. It's ergative-absolutive, and has no real subordination, instead using a complex set of cliticized conjunctions.
It was the language of Skouras, a nation of Almea in ancient times.
