Language sources
Esperanto, Interlingua, Latino Sine Flexione, Ido, Medieval and Vulgar Latin, and the major existing Romance languages.

Design principles
It is the mission of Románico to combine the grammatical regularity and simplicity of Esperanto with the more "natural" and recognizable appearance of Interlingua, drawing for its lexicon from that period of early Romance preceding its fragmentation into the modern Romance languages.

Interest of others
Myself, who knew the inventor(s) and am intrigued by the cleverness of most constructed languages, and the occasional language enthusiast who encounters the web page. Most of the original group of users have moved away and their interest in the language is unknown.
