Language sources
I did not think of a single language when I was creating Sialy. After running into a difficulty with the length of words, I followed the examples of some members on my site, ArtLangs.com, in creating a colloquial dialect.
[edit]
Design principles
The language was designed to please my aesthetic tastes. The original thought I had in creating it was to make a language that used few consonants and infixes. The colloquial dialect was invented to take away those principles, as an evolution away from the original concept.

Interest of others
I can always hope, right? Maybe once it has its own website and not just a blog post?
