Šležan is the language of Silesia in Ill Bethisad. It was designed by Jan van Steenbergen. For an extended example, see the translation of the Šležan Babel Text.

Language sources

Wenedyk, Czech, Pémiš (IB-Bohemian), Silesian, Vulgar Latin.

Design principles

Where Wenedyk is heavily based on and sometimes constrained by Polish phonology and grammar, Šležan follows the Czech example very loosely. Essentially, Šležan is the place where I can implement features that I would have liked to add to Wenedyk but that did not fit there. Šležan has only a small vocabulary, but provides all the tools necessary to create words on a need-to-have basis.

Interest of others

There has even been spoken about the possibility of making it a collaborative project with another conlanger.
