Watakassí is a [[fictional diachronic language and was created by Nik Taylor.
Uniqueness
It is agglutinative, with a gender system, and a redundant pluralization pattern (in both the gender-prefix, and in a suffix on the noun). It is verb initial, but otherwise has free word order, with many cases and a fairly elaborate system of aspects. Language sources
No specific languages, just research on gender systems.
Design principles
Originally, ultra-simple phonology, and interesting gender systems (including a "double-gender" system), however, those have been partially sacrificed, and now has no SPECIFIC design principles
Interest of others
No one else involved specifically, but a good deal of development has come thru the conlang listserve, and a good deal of interest in it exists thereon.
